Many have asked for clarification when I have asked you to keep balanced. It got me thinking of what I felt balance was to me, so here it is...
Balance is a state of being where I am in a calm, loving and contented (grateful) place in my life. Yes, I may have problems to deal with but I don't let them worry me or take over my thinking, because that just creates discord in my mind. I deal with my challenges as they appear and do what is needed to change the situation or even my perspective of what is happening. I do not keep running the questions over and over in my mind with worry about "what if I do this or that", "what will happen", I simply take the challenge and deal with it. If it does not go the right way, I re-adjust and do something else until the challenge is taken care of. It may take a long time to complete the process but I know it will be taken care of, I Believe it will!!
We have all been there, now we have all been on such highs of happiness we wish would never end. My biggest high is out in the mountain tops with a river's water rushing near by, just enjoying the breeze sitting under a tree. Or a day at the beach, just sitting and listening to the waves as they break on the shore. Another one I just thought of was when I had won a dinner at a very very nice restaurant. I ordered Lobster, which I have had many times, but this time it came out sitting on the plate all cracked and out of its shell, with warm butter. I started eating and the next thing I remember my daughter hitting my foot saying mom it sounds like your having an orgasm quiet down (I was moaning to loud), boy did that ever bring me down quick! But I think you can all look back at times like this?
We all have had highs and lows but to be balanced means to be happy, content in gratitude for where you are today, this minute in your life. Living in this body in this world is not meant to be living the same way all the time, we change as we grow. What we liked before may have to let go of for the sake of change, but we can always look forward to the future. As there will always be new experiences and adventures to come that can bring new highs. Big lesson is to be grateful for what you have now and the blessings to come.
Sorry to say there may be new lows we will have to deal with as well, but we know everything has a reason, so, we deal with the new challenges knowing that a new high is on its way. We know change is a big part of life, otherwise we would all stay the same forever, and do you really want that? I look back at my life and there are parts that I wish I never had to deal with but it made me who I am today. I fought against many of my changes, scratching and screaming most times, and still do a little even today, lol.
I am happy with where I am today, yes there are some things I want (working on those) but I deal with each change or challenge as they come. I do not over dramatize it to others (it's my challenge, not theirs). I do not feel others have to help me or take care of it because it is my path. You also have to realize that everyone around you has their path to go and take care of. Which does not mean you have to be taking care of their business. Understanding this was a big challenge for myself and still working on that! I've had to learn you can care and even help to an extent but do not enable others to perpetuate unhealthy actions and behavior. We all have to take the responsibility of what we have created in this world and handle our own challenges. We must learn to be grateful that we all are learning our lessons in our own way.
So, remember to BE balance is to be in a calm, loving, state of gratitude, content with our current place in the world. It may not be your happiest or lowest place but content. Just remember to breath deeply for a minute or so and your heart will show you what must be done in life.
Love and Blessings,
Jo Ann
